West Windsor 5 - Nottingham 4The WW 12s captured the District 12 banner with a heart pounding 5-4 victory over Nottingham. The 12s got on the board in the top of the first when with a two run HR to left by Drew Panson. Nottingham answered in their half of the first as they strung together some walks and a timely hit to take a 3-2 lead. WW went back on top in the second when CJ Markisz had an infield hit and then moved to third on a long single to right center by Justin O’Leary. Brian Tso walked to load the bases and then Kyle Siegler hit a sac fly to score Markisz and then Thomas Marsh, pinch running for O’Leary, scored on a wild pitch allowing WW to take a 4-3 lead.
Nottingham tied the game at 4-4 in the fourth and remained tied until the sixth inning when Goerge Revock and Patrick Tso singled to the outfield and were followed by an infield single by Markisz to load the bases. O’Leary then walked to force in the go ahead run to make it 5-4.
Patrick Tso relieved Michael Radey in the second and pitched 2-2/3 innings of scoreless relief. Revock came on in the fifth and pitched 1-1/3 innings without giving up a run to pick up the win and was followed by Murphy who recorded the final two outs for the save.
